GLOBAL REACH STUDENTS SERVE AND STUDY ABROAD

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commands His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This Great Commission compels DBU to engage the world for the Glory of God through a variety of means. Every year, DBU sends mission teams abroad to serve in orphanages, schools, and churches, helping local Christians share the Gospel. Most notably, the DBU Athletics Department for the past ten years has sent teams to various international locations as a part of the Global Sports Mission Initiative, which provides unique opportunities for athletes to combine their love of the game with service to others. In addition, students have the chance to earn course credit through various study abroad trips to locations such as Bangladesh, Israel, England, or Japan. For example, DBU’s Business As Mission program challenges students to take the business knowledge they have learned in the classroom and help individuals establish successful business models internationally. On campus, students can get to know more than 600 students from around the world and discover global engagement in their own backyard.
